Meals of Hope Hosts Inaugural Meal Packing Event at Lakewood United Methodist Church in Lakewood, Colorado on May 6, 2023
Lakewood, CO – Meals of Hope, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending hunger, is proud to announce our inaugural Colorado meal packing event in Lakewood, Colorado on May 6, 2023. The event will take place at the Lakewood United Methodist Church and is expected to draw over 100 volunteers.
Meals of Hope is a nonprofit organization that distributes food to those in need throughout the United States. With over 1 in 9 people experiencing food insecurity in Colorado, Meals of Hope’s mission is more important than ever. The inaugural meal packing event in Lakewood is an opportunity for the community to come together and make a difference in the lives of those who are struggling to put food on the table.
Volunteers will work in teams to package nutritious meals that will be distributed to local food banks, shelters, and other community organizations. The meals are designed to be easy to prepare and nutritious, with a focus on providing balanced and healthy meals to those in need.
“We are thrilled to host our inaugural meal packing event in Lakewood,” said Meals of Hope Colorado Packing Partner, Mary Ann O’Rourke. “I believe that everyone deserves access to healthy, nutritious food, and I am grateful for the support of the Colorado community in helping Meals of Hope achieve our mission.”
