BAY VIEW — Bay View Association Recreation team and campers partnered with Meals of Hope to empower the local communities in Emmet County to come together to end hunger.

“Bay View member, Stephen Popper, heads this organization, and we are always so grateful for the opportunity to work with him in helping to feed people in need,” stated Amy Liddicoat Seamster, director of recreation for the Bay View Association Recreation Program.

“This is our eighth year partnering with Meals of Hope but this is the first time an executive director has come by to show support. It meant the world to me, the leaders, and the Poppers.” she stated.

The one-day event helps to package food meal kits for the Emmet County community. This year, we packed 15,856 meals, assisting those in Emmet County that need help.

Bay View Association supports local Emmet County communities with the Meals of Hope program, Manna Food Bank donations, CROP Hunger Walk hosting, and Annual Scholarship award to a local high school female senior.

“Bay View is part of the local community and it is part of our mission to reach out to connect and support the greater Petoskey community. Meals of Hope is one way we give back locally to our northern Michigan community,” said Barbara Pfeil, executive director of Bay View Association.
