The Mission:

The Mission of Meals of Hope is “To inspire and empower communities to come together to end hunger.” We believe it is our job to feed people. Meals of Hope began as a food packing organization, and we are the only food packing organization with a priority on keeping the food packed within the United States. We developed five meals specifically designed for the American palate with added vitamins, minerals and proteins to supplement an unbalanced diet. Most of our packed meals are donated to the Feeding America Food Bank Network. More than 25,000 volunteers and thirteen full and part time staff members assist Meals of Hope in achieving its Mission.

Who You Help

When you work with Meals of Hope, you are helping to feed the thousands of families throughout Southwest Florida and the United States who face food insecurity every day.

In Southwest Florida, the percentage of students in Lee and Charlotte Counties receiving Free and Reduced Price Lunch exceeds 68% in each county. In Collier County Public Schools, 62% of children are on the Free and Reduced Lunch Program. Knowing this sobering statistic, Meals of Hope continually provides our meals to the guidance counselors or front office staff at every school so that a hungry family has immediate access to food.

In Collier County we provide Meals of Hope at every Summer Feeding site each year. Additionally, our meals are at each of the food pantries that Meals of Hope runs: Golden Gate Senior Center, Lely Presbyterian Church, the Greater Naples YMCA, East Naples Community park, River Park Recreation Center, Max A. Hasse Jr. Community Park, Immokalee Farm Workers Village and The Bonita Springs Elementary School. We also have 7 weekly distributions in South Lee County and Collier Counties, serving more than 1,200 families, seniors and Veterans each week.

We also donate our meals to both the Harry Chapin Food Bank and Midwest Food Bank which give the food to local food pantries throughout Southwest Florida.

Rosa’s Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]This is Rosa Cabrera. Rosa ran a wedding dress shop in Naples, Florida for many years. She and her husband have two daughters, who they put through college in the United States, sometimes working three jobs each just to pay for tuition. Both of their daughters received their degrees, and Rosa and her husband could not be more proud! When she retired, Rosa realized that they did not have enough income to survive. Rosa came to the Golden Gate Senior Center to receive the free hot lunch and discovered the Meals of Hope Pantry. Now, she and her husband volunteer at the pantry every week in an effort to say thank you for the food and the very important service provided by Meals of Hope.” We are grateful to Rosa for her continued support of the food pantry.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row row_type=”2″ blox_dark=”true” blox_bgcolor=”#4857a6″][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”60px”][vc_column_text]

We are AIB certified

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Through Meals of Hope, you’re providing nutritious and much needed quality food to hungry families. Because we are AIB Certified, our food is held to The American Institute of Baking International’s stringent standards, which require organizations to use best practices for food handling and distribution. In fact, we were awarded the “Recognition of High Achievement” by AIB for scoring in the top 90% of all food facilities — and we look forward to continuing to make food safety a top priority![/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”60px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row row_type=”2″ blox_bgcolor=”#fcfcfc”][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”60px”][vc_column_text]
