Stephanie “Petra” Cazares

Development Coordinator

Stephanie “Petra” Cazares joined Meals of Hope in August of 2025 as an intern while completing her undergraduate studies. Following her internship, she transitioned into the role of Executive Assistant and currently serves as Development Coordinator as of March 2026. In this role, she focuses on building and strengthening relationships with supporters, partners, and community members to further the mission and outreach efforts of Meals of Hope.

Petra is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Communications at Florida Gulf Coast University and is expected to graduate in August 2026. Her academic background supports her work in relationship development, community engagement, and nonprofit communications.

Born and raised in Naples, Florida, Petra is a first-generation Mexican and has been actively volunteering throughout Collier and Lee Counties from a young age. Her background and personal experiences have fostered a deep understanding of diverse communities and the unique challenges they face. Combined with her lifelong involvement in community service, this perspective strengthens her passion for nonprofit work. Through her role at Meals of Hope, Petra is proud to contribute to an organization that serves the region she has called home her entire life.
