Are you ready to make a difference in your community? The Marco Island Meals of Hope Packaging Event is right around the corner and is in need of VOLUNTEERS. This is a fun and family-friendly event and the PUBLIC IS INVITED! REGISTER your friends, club members, church groups or scout troops to help us pack over 200,000 meals in only two hours! Help us combat hunger in Collier County!
Packaging will take place on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Marco Island Charter Middle School, 1401 Trinidad Avenue, Marco Island, FL 34145. Doors open at 8:00 AM for signing in. Please register yourself or group at www.mohmi.org.
Volunteers will staff 16-foot stations with 10 persons per station. Masks are optional, but head coverings or caps must be worn by all who are handling food products. Hair coverings and gloves are provided.
These packaging events bring together community volunteers who will package meals for distribution to those in need, free of charge. Funds raised by Marco Island’s Meals of Hope are 100% donations and are used to purchase the food products for the packaging event. Food packages are then distributed throughout Collier County by its accredited food bank partners.
Visit our website for more information and to register at www.mohmi.org. Contact Deb Henry at [email protected] for information. Donations are always gratefully accepted. Meals of Hope is an IRC 501 (c) (3) charitable entity.
